In 2024, IHME joined as a partner in the Children’s Environmental Health Collaborative convened by UNICEF and co-founded by the UN Environment Programme and the World Bank. IHME, along with dozens of other global organizations in this partnership, further our commitment to research on the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on children’s health. The Collaborative highlights the major risks children face and engages stakeholders to address these challenges, in line with IHME’s mission to deliver to the world timely, relevant, and scientifically valid evidence to improve health policy and practice.
Recently, IHME was featured in an insightful Healthy Tomorrows video produced for the Collaborative, where Professor Michael Brauer provides a comprehensive view of the GBD and discusses the impact of his work on key risk factors and how data-driven insights are essential to advancing global health.
